Zinc, as it is used in galvanizing, is a healthy metal, completely recyclable. Galvanizing delivers incredible value in terms of protecting our infrastructure. Less steel is consumed and fewer raw materials are needed because galvanizing makes bridges, roads, buildings, etc., last longer. Over time, galvanizing helps maintain steel fabrications' structural integrity : galvanized structures are safer. Additionally, because galvanized steel for projects makes no maintenance for decades, selecting galvanized steel for projects makes a significant contribution to profitability.

Hot dip galvanizing steel has been effectively used for more than 150 years. The value of hot-dip galvanizing stems from the relative corrosion resistance of zinc, which under most service conditions is considerably better than iron and steel. In addition to forming a physical barrier against corrosion, zinc, applied as a Hot dip galvanizing coating, cathodically protects exposed steel. The life expectancy of hot dip galvanized coatings on typical structural members is far in excess of 50 years in most rural environments, and 20 to 25 years plus, even in severe urban and coastal exposure.

We adhere to the standard delineated in the specifications for hot dip galvanizing as specified by customer. We inspect materials to assure that a quality galvanized coating has been applied and provide Certificates of Compliance when requested. Steelway is currently compliance with ISO 9001.

We can provide information regarding the suitability of galvanizing for a particular application from a functional and economical perspective. We will provide information on steel selection and design guidelines that can insure the success of galvanizing applications.

Our Services

In our general plant, we offer a wide variety of services :

     ♦  Jig Dipping - suitable for aerials, grilles and other similar items.
     ♦  Centrifuging (spinning) - suitable for smaller components that require a smooth and uniformed finish.
     ♦  Hand Dipping - especially suitable for cleaning of threads.
     ♦  Chain Dipping - where the chain is put through the bath and is run through a machine that ensures links are loose and dag free.
     ♦  Dipping all fabricated steel construction brackets, fence panels, gates.
