The Sungai Lembing Mine is restored to retrospect the glorious days of Sungai Lembing as Pahang's richest manufacturer of tin. Sungai Lembing is prominent in the history of Pahang, and once dubbed as the El-Dorado of the east. "It was operated since 1886 for a period of a century. Part of the mine is refurbished and is now opened for visitors."

The mine is preserved in it most natural and original settings. Visitors will be able to witness the glorious era of Sungai Lembing. Since the mine is located beneath a tropical rainforest, visitors will be able to experience a unique cooling climate in the tunnels.

Your Own Mining Expedition  

Visitors will ride "The Minecraft" to enter the the mine. Then the expedition will continue on foot. It takes approximately an hour to complete the tour. The tunnel height is ranged from 12 feet to 200 feet. Children are allowed to enter with parents or guardians.

Discover the uniqueness of Sungai Lembing Mine 

The tin mine in Sungai Lembing was once the deepest and longest underground mine in the world. It was operated on a big scale thus making Sungai Lembing renowned throughout the world. Visitors will experience a lifetime journey trough the "Original Mine" which displays various collections of mining paraphernalia's. Visitors will come across mannequins, drilling machines, trams, interactive exhibits, info boards and other extravaganzas.

Sungai Lembing Underground Tunnel

Underground tunnels or ‘pengkang' were dug manually without using explosives. Prior to mining work, the geological members will study the locations of tin ore deposits. Studies were conducted on an ongoing basis to ensure that mining activities will perpetuate. Myah mine has the deepest tunnel. There are also several other mines, such as the Taibeto mine, reaching more than 700 meters beneath, double the height of KLCC!

Admission to Sungai Lembing Mines is based on age. You need to pay only once to enjoy all facility in Sungai Lembing Mines. Please ensure that you cary your ticket at all times within the mines. Second entry is permitted after your ticket is validated at the ticketing counter.


  1. Please obey the Mines instruction at all times. 
  2. Please read and obey all the Mines safety instructions.
  3. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult above 18 years old. The accompanying adult must supervise and ensure the safety of their children at all times whilst in the Mines vicinity.
  4. Visitor who cannot be held by the safety restraints shall not be allowed to enter the Mines area for safety reasons.
  5. Outside food and drinks are not allowed to be brought into the mines. It's a good idea for you to bring a garbage bag to put rubbish that you come across inside the Mines. This way, you will help keep the environment clean.
  6. Sungai Lembing Mines reserves the right to close any tours, cancel /postpone show(s) or event(s) for improvement and other inconvenience.
  7. Entry to the mines is via the official ticket issued with every ticket purchase.
  8. Ticket should be carried at all times to enjoy the tours.
  9. Tickets sold are not refundable and non-transferable.
  10. Sungai Lembing Mines is no responsible for any lost or damaged tickets.
  11. Sungai Lembing Mines reserves the right to refuse entry or evict a person from the Mines at any one time at the sole discretion of the management.
  12. The owners and management of Sungai Lembing Mines shall under no circumstances whatsoever be held liable for any injuries, loss or damage to property and persons, however caused.
  13. Patrons are advised to adhere to the requirements imposed by the Sungai Lembing Mines Management.


  1. For safety and comfort, you should be in good health and free from other illness which can be affected by the specified amusement tours .
  2. Pregnant women and infants are not allowed to join the tours for safety reasons.
  3. Remove all eyeglasses and other loose items before getting the tours.
  4. Smoking, drinking or eating at the attractions is not allowed. Pets or animals are prohibited from entering the Mines.
  5. High-heeled shoes, slippers ad loose or sharp footwear are not allowed for this tours.
  6. All forms of alcohol, drugs and smoking are strictly prohibited in the Mines.
