Effective Intensive English and Intersip Program
(More Excitement, Better Programs)

The Language House is a language education center with 22 years of tradition rightfully authorized by the Ministry of Education. The center runs programs in 9 different languages, including English, French, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Malay, German, Cantonese and Mandarin. Teachers are native speakers and all hold teaching certificate of respective languages. Unlike other language centers that operate branches in many regions, The Language House runs all the programs in one center in order to maintain the high quality of education; this is why The Language House is the single largest language educational institution in Asia. It confidently represents itself as the best in Malaysia for its exceptional level of education and the results that have been produced.

"Change and challenge can have benefits", says John Davis, Director and Founder of The Language House. "Last year when The Language House was forced to leave The Atria, we were extremely worried about the challenges that moving would present to our 22 year old language center." However, with luck, outstanding staff and students and a lot of hard work, The Language House has been not only able to survive, but able to launch even more exciting programs, Mr. Davis explains .

With over a half million ringgit investment in developing our new facilities, The Language House has been able to modernise our facilities, develop better learning strategies and launch new programs. Just one example, our classes and building are now completely WiFi/internet connected. "Modern technology allows us to teach using authentic and the best curriculum. The Language House has embraced the digital age and teach using the internet, language web sites and, of course, the latest language books available," Davis says. "The Language House was also able to design specific classrooms for the needs of language learning students. This is ‘a first' in Malaysia. Since students need to develop skills in either writing, speaking, reading or listening, each of our classrooms are specifically designed and equipped to support the learning of a language skill. Our intensive English students now move from class to class, much like a college, to attend the class that they have. This provides more variety and excitement in our classes," says Davis. In addition, The Language House is now launching its "internship program." The Language House wants to help Malaysian school leavers / SPM, STPM develop the language skills and build a ‘work experience' into their educational program. With this internship, The Language House will be able to help those seeking for a career in two specific ways. First, we will improve their English language skills to a professional level and provide SPM and STPM graduates with specific work experience. As most know, it can be difficult for these school leavers to get their careers started, The Language House now provides this," Davis explains.

The Language House has received a special license from The Ministry of Education to launch this internship program. This license is viewed as a serious attempt to help school leavers , the graduates with these twin issues: English language deficiency and a first step into the business world. The Language House has found many Malaysian and International companies willing to help these job seekers with an internship. These companies are enthusiastic about helping those who have shown the commitment to enter this program and learn English.

The Language House is launching this program and offer free counseling in March 2012 and those interested in finding out more please call at 03-7722-5270 or log in www.languagehouse.edu.my.
