Our Brief History

City Valuers & Consultants Sdn Bhd was founded in 1982 in Kuala Lumpur by two chartered valuation surveyors after completing two years in the Malaysian government service as valuers in the Ministry of Finance Valuation Department. The firm was set up to provide mainly expert asset valuation services to corporate organisations who were going public and/or were acquiring lands and development projects for injection into public companies, undertake compensation claims for landowners in the compulsory purchase of property by the government for various development purposes and to provide professional valuation services to the banking industry.

Over time the business prospered and the firm branched into real estate agency and property management for individual clients and market research and feasibility studies for developers who needed to maximise the land use and profitability of their land banks and secure bridging finance from financial institutions.

City Valuers & Consultants Sdn Bhd then opened branches in Kuching, East Malaysia and Penang, North Malaysia to expand their services for their existing clients, in particular the banks.
